vista gerarchica della macchina - versione non-X delle utilità
Hardware Locality (hwloc) fornisce un'astrazione portabile (tra sistemi operativi, versioni, architetture, ...) della topologia gerarchica delle architetture moderne. Mira principalmente ad aiutare le applicazioni di calcolo ad alte prestazioni nella raccolta di informazioni sull'hardware in modo da sfruttarlo di conseguenza e con efficienza.
hwloc fornisce una visione gerarchica della macchina, nodi di memoria NUMA, socket, cache condivise, core e multithread simultanei. Raccoglie anche diverse caratteristiche come informazioni su cache e memoria.
hwloc gestisce i vecchi kernel che non hanno informazioni di topologia in sysfs, con informazioni su insiemi di CPU, CPU spente e gestione Kerrighed.
Questo pacchetto contiene le utilità per mostrare la topologia della macchina (lstopo e hwloc-ls, senza X), manipolare le maschere per cpu (hwloc-calc) e collegare processi (hwloc-bind).
