Hierarkisk visning af maskinen - ikke-X version af redskaber
Hardware Locality (hwloc) tilbyder en flytbar abstraktion (over OS, versioner, arkitekturer ...) for den hierarkiske topologi i moderne arkitekturer. Den forsøger primært at hjælpe højtydende beregningsprogrammer med indsamling af information om udstyret, så denne kan udnyttes på passende vis og effektivt.
Hwloc tilbyder en hierarkisk visning af maskinen, NUMA-hukommelsesknuder, sokler, delte mellemlagre, kerne og samtidig multithreading. Den indsamler også diverse attributter såsom mellemlager- og hukommelsesinformation.
Hwloc understøtter gamle kerner som ikke har sysfs-topologiinformation, og har kendskab til cpu-sæt, frakoblede cpu'er og Kerrighed-understøttelse.
Denne pakke indeholder redskaber til at vise topologien for maskinen (lstopo og hwloc-ls, uden X-understøttelse), manipulere cpu-masker (hwloc-calc) og binde processer (hwloc-bind).
