pythonbindinger for bibliotekerne libxml2 og libxslt

lxml er en ny Pythonbinding for libxm12 og libxslt, fuldstændig uafhængig af eksisterende Pythonbindinger. Programmets formål er:

 * Python-API.
 * Dokumentation.
 * Brug af Pythons unicodestrenge i API.
 * Sikker (ingen segfaults).
 * Ingen manuel hukommelseshåndtering!

lxml forsøger at tilbyde en Python-API ved at følge ElementTree-API'en så tæt som muligt og forsøge at undgå opfindelsen af for mange nye API'er eller at brugeren skal lære en masse nye ting - XML er kompliceret nok endda.
