A infraestrutura iptables/xtables foi substituída pelo nftables. Considere migrar para ela.
No entanto, mesmo que um determinado sistema esteja totalmente executado em nftables nativos, existem outras razões pelas quais o libxtables pode ser instalado. Por um lado, nftables em si é usado para poder exibir conjuntos de regras antigos que foram criados usando extensões xtables (para ajudar as pessoas a migrar). Outros softwares de terceiros pode também estar vinculados a esta biblioteca.
A instalação desta biblioteca no sistema não gera riscos.
Este pacote contém a interface de espaço de usuário(a) para a infraestrutura do núcleo do xtables do netfilter.
