Nginx ("engine X" ou motor X) é um servidor web e proxy reverso de alto desempenho criado por Igor Sysoev. Pode ser usado tanto como um servidor web autônomo quanto como um proxy para reduzir a carga em servidores de infraestrutura HTTP ou e-mail.

Este metapacote fornece uma versão muito leve de nginx com apenas um conjunto mínimo de recursos e módulos.

MÓDULOS HTTP PADRÕES: Core, Access, Auth Basic, Auto Index, Empty GIF, FastCGI, Map, Proxy, Rewrite, SCGI, uWSGI.

MÓDULOS HTTP OPCIONAIS: Auth Request, Charset, Gzip, Gzip Precompression, Headers, HTTP/2, Index, Log, Real IP, Slice, SSI, SSL, Stub Status, Thread Pool, WebDAV, Upstream.

MÓDULOS DE TERCEIROS: Echo.
