Ksh é um interpretador de comandos (shell) UNIX que é direcionado tanto para uso em shell interativo como por scripts. Sua linguagem de comando é um superconjunto da linguagem shell sh(1).

A versão 1993 adiciona funcionalidades, a maioria relacionadas a scripts, além daquelas da versão 1988 que é tipicamente distribuída com variantes UNIX comerciais. Por exemplo, ele tem escopo léxico, variáveis compostas, vetores associativos, referências nomeadas e matemática de ponto flutuante.

A ferramenta shcomp pode ser usada para compilar scripts ksh em formato binário.
