nip2는 VIPS 패키지에 대한 그래픽 프론트엔드입니다.

VIPS는 효율성을 염두에 두고 설계된 이미지 처리 시스템입니다. 이 프로그램은 큰 이미지 (컴퓨터에 탑재된 RAM보다 큰 이미지) 처리에 유용하며, 그리고 컬러로 작업을 합니다. 이 프로그램은 ImageMagick 및 GIMP 같은 다른 패키지보다 더 빠르게 많은 이미지 처리 태스크를 수행할 수 있으며 여러 이미지 조각들에서 하나의 "mosaic" 이미지를 만드는 것 같은 몇몇 특별한 기능을 포함합니다.
