Analizza stringhe usando una specifica basata sulla sintassi di format() di Python. parse() è l'opposto di format(). Per esempio:

 'spam'

Oppure cercare un qualche modello in una stringa:

 >>> search('Age: {:d}\n', 'Name: Rufus\nAge: 42\nColor: red\n')
 <Result (42,) {}>
