Il motore di archiviazione Spider con funzionalità incorporate di sharding. Gestisce il partizionamento e le transazioni xa e permette di gestire tabelle di differenti istanze di server MariaDB come se fossero sulla stessa istanza. Fa riferimento a una possibile implementazione di ISO/IEC 9075-9:2008 SQL/MED.
