Inetd è il demone che resta in ascolto su varie porte TCP e UDP e lancia programmi che non possono farlo o non lo fanno da soli.

Questa è l'implementazione GNU portabile di inetd. Il pacchetto gestisce IPv6, servizi tcpmux e argomenti illimitati per il server.
