Il pacchetto jose mira a fornire un'implementazione dell'insieme di standard JOSE (Javascript Object Signing and Encryption). Ciò include la gestione degli standard JSON Web Encryption, JSON Web Signature e JSON Web Token.

L'implementazione segue le specifiche JSON Web Encryption (http://dx.doi.org/10.17487/RFC7516) (RFC 7516), JSON Web Signature (http://dx.doi.org/10.17487/RFC7515) (RFC 7515) e JSON Web Token (http://dx.doi.org/10.17487/RFC7519) (RFC 7519). La libreria supporta il formato di serializzazione JSON JWS/JWE e quello compatto, e ha il supporto opzionale per destinatari multipli. Contiene anche una piccola utilità a riga di comando (jose-util (https://github.com/go-jose/go-jose/tree/master/jose-util)) per lavorare con messaggi JOSE in una shell.
