Qt è un'infrastruttura per applicazioni C++ multipiattaforma. La caratteristica principale di Qt è il suo ricco insieme di widget che forniscono funzionalità standard per interfacce utente grafiche.

Qt WebChannel permette comunicazioni peer-to-peer tra l'host (applicazione QML/C++) e il client (applicazione HTML/JavaScript). Il meccanismo di trasporto è già gestito dai due popolari motori web, Qt WebKit 2 e Qt WebEngine.
