Telnetserver med SSL-krypteringsunderstøttelse

Programmet in-telnetd er en server, som understøtter DARPA telnets interaktive kommunikationsprotokol.

SSL telnetd erstatter normal telnetd med brug af SSL-godkendelse og kryptering. Programmet samarbejder med normal telnetd i begge retninger. Programmet kontrollerer om den anden side også bruger SSL, hvis ikke returnerer den til normal telnetprotokol.

Fordele i forhold til normal telnetd: Dine adgangskoder og dataene du sender vil ikke blive sendt i klartekst over linjen.
