  - redigeringsprogram for solsystemet (importerer komet- og asteroidedata

  - teleskopkontrol (kompatibel med Meade LX200 og Celestron NexStar)

Stellarium bør ikke bruges for meget præcise beregninger eller efemerider såsom forudsigelser for eklipser. Det er dog det ideelle program til at forberede en observationsaften kun med brug af øjnene, kikkerten eller et lille teleskop.
