Libmaus2 er en samling af datastrukturer og algoritmer. Den indeholder

 * I/O-klasser (enkel byte og UTF-8)
 * bitio-klasser (inddata, uddata og diverse former for manipulation
   på bit-niveau
 * Tekstindekseringsklasser (suffiks og LCP-tabel, fuld tekst og
   minute (FM), ...)
 * Sammenligningsfiler for BAM-sekvensers inddata/uddata (simple og
   samlende)

og mange understøttelsesklasser på lavere niveau.
