Dynamisk DNS-aktiveret (DDNS) DHCP-klient

Dette er en dynamisk DNS-aktiveret version af DHCP-klienten.

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) er en protokol som BOOTP (faktisk inkluderer dhcpd mange af funktionerne fra bootpd). Den giver en klientmaskine »lejemål« af IP-adresser og kan automatisk indstille deres netværkskonfiguration. Hvis din maskine afhænger af DHCP (især sandsynligt hvis den er en arbejdsstation i et større netværk, eller en bærbar, eller tilsluttet et kabelmodem), så behold denne eller en anden DHCP-klient installeret.
