Denne pakke indeholder redskaberne dos2unix, unix2dos, mac2unix og unix2mac som bruges til at konvertere linjeombrydningerne i tekstfiler mellem formaterne UNIX (LF), DOS (CRLF) og MAC (CR).
Tekstfiler under Windows og DOS har typisk to ASCII-tegn i slutningen af hver linje: CR (carriage return) efterfulgt af LF (line feed). Ældre Mac'er brugte kun CR, mens UNIX bare bruger LF. Selv om de fleste moderne redigeringsprogrammer kan læse alle disse formater, kan der stadig være brug for at konvertere filer mellem dem.
Dette er det klassiske redskab udviklet i 1989.
