LittleCMS 2 forsøger at være en farvehåndteringsmotor med et lille aftryk og speciel fokus på præcision og ydelse. Programmet bruger International Color Consortium standard (ICC) for farvehåndtering. LittleCMS 2 er en fuld implementering af ICC-specifikationen 4.2 plus alle bilag. Programmet understøtter fuldt ud alle V2- og V4-profiler, inklusive abstrakte, enhedshenviste og navngivne farveprofiler.
