Advanced Intrusion Detection Environment - dynamisk binær fil

AIDE et detekteringssystem for indbrud, som registrerer ændringer på filer på det lokale system. Programmet opretter en database fra de regulære udtryksregler som fremgår af en konfigurationsfil. Når denne database først er initialiseret kan den bruges til at verificere filernes integritet. Programmet har flere algoritmer for beskedsoversigt (md5, sh1, rmd160, tiger, haval, etc.) som bruges til at kontrollere filens integritet. Flere algoritmer kan tilføjes forholdsvist nemt. Alle de sædvanlige filattributter kan også kontrolleres for uoverensstemmelser.
