Kerberos je systém sloužící pro ověřování uživatelů a síťových služeb. Kerberos je důvěryhodná služba třetí strany. To znamená, že zde máme třetí subjekt (server Kerberos), který je důvěryhodný pro všechny objekty sítě (uživatele a služby, obvykle nazývané "principal").

Toto je referenční implementace Kerberos V5 od MIT.
