Development metapackage for the GLib family of libraries

GLib is a library containing many useful C routines for things such as trees, hashes, lists, and strings. It is a useful general-purpose C library used by projects such as GTK, GIMP, and GNOME.

This package provides most of the development headers, libraries and utilities needed to compile GLib programs, and in most cases is the most appropriate package to use as a build-dependency. For lower-level packages that are involved in architecture bootstrapping, consider switching dependencies to libgio-2.0-dev.

GObject-Introspection metadata for this library is not included here, and can be found in the gir1.2-glib-2.0-dev package.
